How to read minimum odds
Every pick I send comes with a minimum odds number. It's the most important number on the card — more important than the pick itself. Here's what it means and what to do with it, cutie. 💋
What the minimum odds are
Odds are a probability in disguise. Decimal odds of 2.00 pay back double your stake, and they're fair when something happens 50% of the time. The minimum odds are the lowest price at which a bet still has value by my estimate: minimum odds = 1 ÷ my probability. If I think a total lands 55% of the time, the minimum is about 1.82.
The rule
- Your price is at or above the minimum → bet it, with the stake on the card.
- Your price is below the minimum → skip it. The value is gone and you'd be paying the bookie for the pleasure.
- The price moved while you were looking? Check again before you confirm. eSoccer prices move fast.
A worked example
The card says Over 5.5 goals @ 1.95 with a minimum of 1.85. Your first bookie offers 1.90 — above the minimum: bet it. Your second offers 1.80 — below: walk away, however good the match looks. The gap between 1.80 and 1.95 looks tiny, but over hundreds of bets it decides whether your bankroll lasts.

When the line doesn't match
Sometimes the card has an Asian line like Over 5/5.5 — half your stake on 5.0 and half on 5.5 — and your bookie only has 5.5.
- Over 5/5.5 → take Over 5.5 only at clearly better odds than the card: with exactly 5 goals you lose the whole stake instead of half.
- Under 5/5.5 → Under 5.5 at the same price is fine: exactly 5 goals becomes a full win instead of a half.
New to these lines? Over/under goals, explained slowly. In 2×4, exactly 5 goals happened in 17% of matches over the last 30 days — that's how often that half-refund is in play.
What my prices look like
Across the 1,107 picks I've published since 2026-09-29, the average price was 1.98 (median 1.90) — about 51% implied probability. With totals the value is a few percentage points, not a miracle. Which is exactly why taking a worse price than the minimum eats it.
