eSoccer bankroll management

eSoccer runs all day and all night. That's the fun — and the trap. Without a plan, one cold evening can eat a month. Here's how to handle your money if you want to stay in the game. 😈

1 · A bankroll you can afford to lose

Your bankroll is money set aside only for betting — money you could lose without touching rent, bills or your mood. Keep it separate from everything else. If losing it would hurt, it's too big.

2 · Units: 1u = 1% of your bankroll

Bet in units, not in euros: the same plan works whatever size you play. My picks go from 1u to 3u, depending on how big the edge is. Your stake per pick:

Even good bets lose often. Here's the ugly side of my record — the 983 picks published since 2026-09-29, the same numbers the results page shows:

With 1u = 1% of your bankroll, that drawdown is about 16% of it. That's why units stay small: a bad run should hurt your pride, not your bank. And past numbers promise nothing — the next streak can be longer.

4 · Volume: eSoccer never stops

Matches start every few minutes, so it's easy to bet far more than you planned. Can't follow everything? Pick a fixed window (in UTC) and take every pick inside it — not just the ones you like.

On an average day lately I post about 58 picks. At 1u each that's about 58 units staked a day — turnover, not money at risk all at once, but it shows why 1% per unit is a ceiling, not a floor.

5 · When to change your unit

• Recalculate your unit once a week or once a month — not after every bet.
• Bankroll down 30%? Shrink the unit with it. Never try to "win it back" with bigger stakes.
• Bankroll up? Increase slowly, at your weekly review. Greed is sexy for about five minutes.
• Never top up from savings to chase. That's not a strategy, that's a confession.
